Leech Lake Fishing Report for Dec 22, 2016

Much of the main lake has 8 to 11 inches of ice, but there are some cracks and ice heaves to watch for. Walleyes are being caught off Stoney Point and Pine Point in 12 to 14 feet. In Walker Bay, anglers are reporting varying ice depths from 4 to 8 inches with people mainly fishing off the first shoreline breaks and catching some walleyes during low-light periods. ATVs are being used in Agency Bay and Trader’s Bay, but fishing reports have been limited.
